Curtain hanging 4 - Silk tie curtain
A one off hand sewn curtain, crafted from 100% silk, originally woven for gentleman's tie's. The elegant stripes run horizontal across the curtain with widths of deep blue & forest green. The piece has a wonderful sheen, the silk was woven in the UK.
In 2022 we embarked on a project to repurpose various textile pieces by carefully piecing them together and having them made up into hand sewn curtains by a team of expert makers. The intention was to create something new with the character that is of something of considerable age and character.
Hand sewn with a cotton interliner and a black out lining. The pinch pleat heading is pre-fitted with hooks for hanging on rings.
