Kashmir Wall Hanging

A Kashmir hand embroidered wall hanging trimmed with tassels and depicting a wading flock of cranes. The piece has been chain stitched by artisans from Kashmir Valley. This technique means the tapestry has a painterly effect with the stitches resembling brush strokes.

One crane loops below the flock creating a wonderful flow of movement through the piece. The dynamism is heightened by the mint & olive green emblem that follows the S shape of the bird.

This piece has been fitted with a velcro top for hanging.
