Gossip seat

A Hollywood Regency style brass plated telephone seat. 

These were items of furniture that were popular in the homes in the 50s & 60s being the perfect tool to perch in when taking lengthy phone calls.

The seat boasts a two tiered smoked glass side table, a telephone would be typically placed on the table top, with a telephone directory resting on the glass below.

The graceful carving of the faux bamboo, typical of the Hollywood Regency era, add to the glamour of this piece.

The seat has been upholstered in CC's repp in Mint.
